Hi, I'm Kyle Langellier 

An experienced multimedia journalist dedicated to reporting stories that inform, engage and make a difference in my community. 

I earned my Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University where I developed strong foundations of broadcasting and digital media in the newsrooms of TV-10 News and The Vidette. I produced and hosted The Bottom Line, a weekly political program nominated for a Crystal Pillar Award at the 2024 Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards and a recipient of an Illinois Broadcasting Association Award. I got the opportunity to develop relationships with State politicians, City Council members and student leaders, constantly striving to report the freshest, most impactful stories on the local, statewide and sometimes national level. 

In addition to the Bottom Line, I anchored and produced the only live Bloomington-Normal newscast, TV-10 News, twice a week. I developed skills in editing, writing, arranging interviews, audio, shot composition, all on a strict deadline. I created packages, VOs, VOSOTs, and edits of various speeches and events. I pitched stories, developed outlines of shows and packages and implemented what our team and our news director agreed on.  

On election night in 2024 I produced an hour long election night broadcast with four anchors, three on-location reporters and an interview with a local Democratic leader. 

My passion is for political reporting, but ultimately I am driven to find the most direct path to connect with, inform and empower my community.
